Please take the time to read all the material at this site; evaluate it
and then decide whether or not some retired members of the above named
organizations have been unjustly denied receipt of this
benefit. If you feel these retirees have been unjustly denied this benefit please send the enclosed letters or write a letter to the New York State Attorney General (see How Can I Help). The purpose of this web site is to present the truth of the facts in the history of events. In doing so it is our intent to bring about a legislative task force to investigate the facts and fairness of the VSF. If this is made possible we will have representatives from the above named organizations appear in person and be fully prepared to support their position. The information provided on this site may show documents that offer arguments supporting only the police and fire positions. Be assured, however, the information provided pertains to ALL retirees from the organizations mentioned at the top of this page. We remind all active members of the dangers of their profession and we urge them to exercise the utmost caution. First and Foremost is safety. If you should receive a line of duty injury, think of vesting or retiring on an ordinary disability you will not be entitled to this benefit.
